What We Are About

This working document from the National Office explains what the many affiliate chapters of VOTF are about.

Catholic group strives to mend church

Voice of Faithful wants active laity to address clergy scandal:
A San Francisco Chronicle report on our Feb 2nd VOTF Nor Cal Meeting at USF.

Chances are very good that you have heard about us.  Perhaps you have been warned about us.  Perhaps you have been encouraged to join us.  Well, we encourage you to review the contents of this web site and make up your own mind.

We are an organization of Catholics who love the Church, and are active in the Church. We are an affiliate of Voice of the Faithful National. As an organization of mainstream Catholics, we are focused on making our voice heard as permitted by the 1983 Code of Canon Law on: ‘The Obligations and Rights Of All the Christian Faithful’, especially Can 212.#2, #3 as well as Can 215.

The purpose of VOTF is to give the Catholic laity a forum, a voice in the ongoing Church crisis. VOTF calls for meaningful lay collaboration in the guidance and governance of the Catholic Church, which will lead to accountability and transparency in Church structures.

This web site contains many articles explaining our goals as an organization.  What we advocate and what we do not advocate.  Please do look around and consider joining us in our effort to make our Catholic Church a better and a safer experience for all of us.
